I just thought of something. If Jesus was born today…in Bethlehem, how accepting would Americans be of him? A 32-year-old man from Palestine who speaks Hebrew and tells you to give all your money to the poor?

If Jesus were born today and gained any sort of clout, the same thing that happened to him two thousand years ago would happen to him again: he would be accused of being a dangerous cult leader attacking the banking system and the political establishment; he would be executed by the empire, probably by unreported drone strike rather than messy spectacular crucifixion; his own former friends and students would be dragged before the media to denounce his delusional narcissistic personality disorder; records of his life would be driven underground for centuries, until a new empire saw fit to revive his memory in service of a new imperial agenda.

BUT REALLY GUYS I NEED HELP

Good graduate programs for marriage and family counseling, without a high GPA requirement, in a college town.

I’ve looked at Lehigh University, East Carolina University, Drexel University and the University of Akron.

So basically, if you attend any of those colleges [even as an undergrad], message me and tell me how it is there!!

And if you are in a graduate program at any college for marriage and family therapy, MESSAGE ME AND HELP ME.

Two other women, also breast cancer survivors, said their husbands left them after they were diagnosed. Both had to have mastectomies (in case anyone doesn’t know, this is the surgical operation to remove one or both breasts).

The first woman said her husband told her that he would rather see her dead than see her lose her breasts. The second woman had her operation and waited all day to be picked up by her husband, who never arrived. By nightfall, one of the nurses offered to give her a ride, and she came home to find the house empty.

Obviously, these are extreme cases of a man’s reaction to his wife’s breast cancer, but this is what I see when I see the “I ♥ Boobies” bracelets. I see love of the body parts, not the person being treated—not the patient, not the victim, not the survivor.

So, I’m [hopefully] graduating next spring, and currently looking into grad schools for marriage/couples and family therapy. Keep in mind that I have a 2.5 GPA so that requirement can’t be high. I’ve been looking into the University of Akron, Drexel University, East Carolina University, and the University of Rhode Island, mainly. Anyone who goes there, regardless of age, wanna tell me a little bit about them? I’d prefer a college town because it’s what I’m used to, and what I like [everything in walking distance, apartments close to the campus, etc]. Please message me if you’ve attended any of these colleges or know of a good marriage and family grad program!!
